Information we collect

AstroBoard collects the information needed to operate the board and process payments:

• the website or social profile, category, display name, and optional description submitted for a listing;
• bid amounts, checkout references, payment status, and provider transaction identifiers;
• the email address entered at checkout and whether you separately choose marketing email;
• aggregate listing-click counts and an anonymous browser session identifier used for visitor and online counts;
• when you allow analytics, interaction events, device and browser information, and masked session replays collected through PostHog; and
• technical logs that our hosting, database, security, analytics, and payment providers process when you use the service.

AstroBoard stores theme, display-currency, anonymous presence, and analytics identifiers in browser storage or cookies. PostHog starts only after you allow analytics. Checkout input values are masked in session replay, and admin pages are excluded from analytics and replay. We do not receive full card, bank-account, or UPI credentials.

How we use information

We use information to:

• create, rank, display, and maintain listings;
• create payment orders, verify captured payments, and reconcile refunds or disputes;
• send receipts and transactional alerts when a verified payment changes your rank;
• send optional marketing email only when you choose it;
• understand product usage, diagnose errors, and improve the checkout and leaderboard experience; and
• prevent abuse, investigate errors, comply with law, and defend legal claims.

Public listing information

Listing names, descriptions, categories, destination links, rank, and captured ranking amounts are public. Search engines and other visitors may see them. We may fetch public titles, profile details, and images from a submitted destination so visitors can recognize the listing.

Service providers

We share only the information needed for service providers to perform their work. Current providers include Razorpay for checkout and payment confirmation, Convex for application data, Resend for transactional and opted-in marketing email, Vercel for website hosting, PostHog for product analytics and masked session replay, and public metadata or avatar services used to display submitted profiles. Their own privacy policies apply to information they process.

AstroBoard passes the checkout email to Razorpay to prefill its hosted payment form. Razorpay collects payment information on its checkout; AstroBoard does not store your UPI PIN or complete payment-instrument details.

Retention and security

We retain listing and payment records for as long as needed to provide the service and meet accounting, tax, fraud, dispute, and legal obligations. Anonymous session and aggregate activity records are kept for operational statistics. We use access controls and payment-provider verification, but no internet service can promise absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You may ask to access, correct, or remove personal information associated with you, withdraw marketing consent, or request that a listing be removed. Some payment and accounting records must be retained where the law requires it. Browser preferences can be cleared through your browser's site-data settings.

Analytics choices

You can allow or reject optional PostHog analytics at any time.

Children

AstroBoard is intended for adults. We do not knowingly accept paid listings from anyone under 18.
